Most brands struggle in the Nordics when the distributor setup is purely retailer-led: the distributor waits for demand, then tries to “create” it with promotions and seasonal activity. That can work for low-consideration commodities, but it fails for premium products that require education, trust, and multiple touchpoints.
Global brands that apply US-centric marketing tactics may also find messaging doesn’t resonate. We run a different model:
